Gloria Alday Protillo, LAc
Gloria Alday-Portillo is an acupuncturist. She has been in the healing community for more than
20 years. She received her Bachelors of Science Psychology from the University of Arizona in
1999 and her Masters of Acupuncture from Han University in Tucson Arizona in 2015.
Gloria believes that we are multi-composite beings made up of physical, emotional, mental, and
spiritual energies that combine to create very complex beings. Because of our nature, she
believes that we must be approached accordingly. Each level of our beings are separate and
yet connected. This duality of separation and connection demands that a person be seen and
treated as such. Chinese Medicine offers modalities that allows for this complex approach.
Gloria uses needles, massage, cupping, skin scraping, ion pumping cords, and nutrition to help
an individual surpass their state of imbalance and reach a state of health.
So, why did she choose Chinese medicine and other alternative therapies? Because she has a
passion! She has a passion to help those around her who wish to be better! She remembers the
sadness, anxiety, frustration, and sense of hopelessness of not feeling well. She remembers the
sense of separation because her “dis-ease” would not allow for socializing or simple gatherings.
She also remembers the sense of hope and shear excitement of the thought that someone was
attempting to help. She wishes to be that beacon of light! She desires to bring that sense of
hope! Can she cure all? No, by no means. But, she is known to work will very hard to do by her
very best and offer you the tools you need to heal. Every day she look for new approaches to
bring the best to her patients. Every day she reaches out to learn more modalities for the
benefit of others.
She invites you to stop by. She is located in Suite E, right across from Palo Santo. You will
usually find here there from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. She will stop to chat if she is
not with a patient. Or, you can reach her at 520-245-4403 or at gloriasacupuncutre@gmail.com.
Come on by!
